This blog is created initially to document and put to writing the misdoing of my apartment’s Evil Developer and their Maintenance Company from hell. This is the place to bring to bring to light all their evil doings, as no other place is appropriate enough.

This blog serve as a place of sort to vent my pent up anger and frustrations. This is necessary as all kinds of complains to all levels of authority fell on deaf ears.

The Authority that has the authority to do something often refuses to address and tackle the problems many dwellers of high-rise apartment and communal living places are facing.

More often than not, laws and rules are created to address issues but they are loosely enforced if at all. Let’s see how long they will take this time.

Board to handle strata title grouses

PUTRAJAYA: The soon-to-be-formed Strata Titles Board will handle all complaints regarding strata titles.

Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid has informed the Bar Council that he was in the midst of appointing members to the board.

The council’s conveyance practice committee chairman, Roger Tan, said this was provided for in the amended Strata Titles Act, which came into effect in April.

Tan said condominium owners could take their complaints to the board and its decision would be final.

-Excerpt from The Star Newspaper

However, I realized that many can complain and whine but not many can actually do something to end the woes. We need more action than just talk. Complain letters and discussions held with proper diplomatic channels do not work. If the proper ways do not work, what choice do we have?

The direction of this blog is vague for now. I can see a faint light at the end of the tunnel.

Astro got new channels – Astro on Demand. I guess everyone knows about it already. The channels will feature Chinese serial dramas at about the same time as they are aired in Hong Kong. Viewers will have to pay per episode.

It is a big deal, really. Malaysian viewers are normally served with stale and outdated programmes by Astro without them knowing it. Astro always comes out with new channels and products and I admire their innovation and creativity for sucking the people’s money.

Astro has never and will never be in my book for a great cable TV operator. Astro on Demand is currently being publicised heavily on channel 36. Their tagline – You will never need to watch repeats again. What crap! They are the one who keeps repeating their programmes and now they want their subscribers to pay extra for fresh programmes.

As if the recent price increase is not enough, all their channels are infested with commercials. Commercial breaks are so frequent that it is really not worth the time to watch an entire movie. I have not watch a movie on Astro from start to end for a long time now. Watching movie on Astro is no more enjoyable that I have taken to the cinemas on weekends.

Back to the topic of the commercials. I am sure many would have noticed it. The volume of the commercials are very much louder than the normal programmes. If you are watching a movie with the normal volume, you will be startled when the commercials kick in. It is a devilish way to get the viewers’ attention. I do not know whether this is Astro’s or the advertiser’s idea.

Shove it up your ass again, Astro!

Astro, the monopoly cable tv company in Malaysia announced that they are going to increase the subscription rate by 15% on 1st June 2007. Fine, as long as quality programs are aired.

I have grown immune to the fact that Astro programs are infested with advertisements, repeats and more advertisements. They are the monopoly, if you don’t watch Astro, you watch government controlled TV stations and believe me they sucks even worse.

There’s this new channel 78 on Astro, where there’s alot of nice and interesting programs about cars, fishing and all things macho. Have enjoyed it so much over the last one week or so. Finally, a channel I can watch day in day out. Much to my horror, I found out yesterday that the most of the programs on channel 78 are outdated, mostly are from the year 2002-2003.

I could watch outdated National Geographic programs but I just cannot accept a 2002 car as the latest model.

Shove it up your ass, Astro!
